Clog Dancing

Step back in time and experience the foot-stomping fun of British and Irish clog dancing with our lively workshops! Led by our professional instructor, Sarah, our clog dancing workshops are perfect for schools, groups, organizations, and events. No prior dance experience is necessary – just a sense of fun and a willingness to tap your toes!Sarah's workshops will not only teach you the fundamental steps and routines, but also delve into the fascinating history of clog dancing in these regions. You'll discover how this traditional form of dance originated from the working class, with miners and millworkers using their clogs to imitate the rhythms of the machinery around them; and how, over time, it evolved into being a celebrated art form.Clog dancing is a fantastic way to connect with history, develop a strong sense of rhythm, and enjoy some good fun and energetic exercise. All workshops are backed by authentic live traditional music, making the experience even more immersive and enjoyable.
